Pakistan and daylight saving
Pakistan tried daylight saving time in 2002, 2008 and 2009 to save energy, but abandoned it. Today PKT stays at UTC+5 throughout the year.
Karachi is 30 minutes behind India and one hour ahead of Dubai — a useful rule of thumb for regional calls.
Business hours
